Welcome to the Kickstone Blog

David Hunter·

Every tool we build at Kickstone starts with the same question: what does the research say?

Not what's trending. Not what looks good on a pitch deck. What actually works in a primary classroom, backed by evidence, tested by teachers.

That's the principle behind everything we're building - from reading programmes to maths fluency, SEND support to school compliance. And this blog is where we'll share the thinking behind it.

What to expect

We'll be writing about:

  • Curriculum and pedagogy - how research translates into classroom practice
  • School operations - the invisible work that keeps schools running
  • Product updates - what we're shipping and why
  • Policy and inspection - making sense of Ofsted, DfE frameworks, and what they mean for schools

Why now?

Because too many edtech tools are built by people who've never taught a lesson. We think schools deserve better - tools built by educators, for educators, with evidence at the centre.

More soon.
